Position Identification

²        Position Title:             Application Engineer – Dual Clutch and Damper

²        Location:                    Dalian, Liaoning, China



Position Summary

²        Provide technical support for Dual Clutch and Damper modules at product launches and/or mass production lines.



Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities

²        Responsible for issuing technical reports, PCRs (Product Change Requests), PARs (Part Approval Requests)

²        Support working teams to resolve technical issues

²        Support cost reduction initiatives and issue master plans for testing and release activities

²        Ensure that all customer requirements are met on time

²        Support in communication with customer (specification changes, technical issue solving,…)

²        Takes lead in performing production accompanying testing in own Dalian engineering test lab according to test schedule and actual events

²        Responsible to issue test reports and work on product improvement programs

²        Work closely with other BW Engineering groups



Requirements / Qualifications

²        Ability to work effectively across functional boundaries

²        BS – Mechanical or Automotive Engineering

²        Minimum of 3 years of application engineering experience

²        Minimum of 3 years of working in testing (test rigs)

²        Microsoft Office, ProE, AutoCAD

²        Experience with working with customers (Automotive OEMs)

²        Very good English language skills

²        Good presentation skills

²        Experience working with automatic transmission systems (preferred)

²        Vehicle evaluation and test skills (preferred)

Position Identification

²        Position Title:             Transmission Control Product/Application Engineer

²        Location:                    Dalian, Liaoning, China



Position Summary

²        For a transmission control product/application engineer located in BWUTS Plant, Dalian, China, this job will take responsibility for TS control module application, product PV/DV tests, generate communication channel between manufacturing site and control design/development group, involve in problem solving, and help analysis of product quality control.

²        This job will also be responsible for liaison/interface between customer and TS controls design/development department, work with customer to specify requirements of hydraulic control systems for transmission applications, assist with vehicle calibration of transmission control systems for customer requirements and assist with laboratory test equipment specification and procurement.

²        Able to understand customer system requirements.

²        Able to understand solenoid and control module characteristics.

²        Problem solving – self start problem solving during PV/DV test and customer application.

²        Analysis capability – creates analytical model for root cause finding and problem solving.

²        Laboratory Equipment – Able to specify PV/DV test equipment.

²        Documentation Skills – Able to describe his/her work in written form.

²        Communication Skills – Able to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors and customers.

²        Teamwork – Considers and seeks out the impact of his/her actions within the team.  Actively seeks collaboration with internal and external team members.



Requirements / Qualifications

²        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required.

²        Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.

²        Engineering Master’s Degree preferred.

²        Automobile Transmission Knowledge – Basic understanding of automobile transmission  function required

²        3+ years experience in power train systems.

²        Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

²        Excellent time management skills.  Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, make timely decisions, and must be detail oriented.

²        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

²        Fluent English are preferred.

²        Demonstrates effective communication skills, works well in a team and shows initiative.

²        20% traveling is expected
