Job title: Global Buyer (Suspension System)
Location: Shanghai
Main job responsibilities:
1. Provide active and effective involvement & leverage with global commodity team
2. Competitively bid and negotiate winning agreements. Ensue on time sourcing and localization
3. Competitive analysis based on commodity, cost drivers, technology and market/industry benchmarking, supply/demand, market trends, capacity
4. Implement & help create strategic plans and tactics to drive Value Improvement using tools such as lean concepts, cost modeling, and Six sigma.
5. Understand and clearly describe specifications and statement of work to suppliers & prospective suppliers Ensure supplier compliance to standard operating procedures. Lead cost recovery activities
6. Work with cross- functional team on potential low cost suppliers development to align with the localization, cost reduction
7. Support new project costing
8. Support PC&L to solve the delivery problems from supplier side
9. Follow sourcing procedures. Maintain purchasing documents and records to meet internal controls requirements
Require:
1. Bachelor degree with a major in engineering or equivalent experience.  Desirable course work would include probability and / or statistics
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, quality or engineering
3. Minimum of 4 years of experience in  purchasing;
4. Demonstrated knowledge of geometric design and tolerance and gage design and function (preferred)
5. Demonstrated knowledge of probability, statistical quality control and design of experiments (preferred)  
6. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and assembly plant processes, procedures, facilities and equipment (preferred)
7. TS16949 knowledge
8. Proficient oral & written English skills (required)
9. Knowledge of corporate and division supplier quality standards, policies and procedures
10. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to effectively lead, motivate and facilitate others in group situations
11. High level of analytical ability to assess and identify appropriate alternative courses of actions for definition and resolution of problems that is somewhat unique and diverse.
12. Ability to exercise independent judgment is required
13. Ability to effectively organize and plan
