Job title: Junction Box Engineer
Location: Shanghai
Job Scope:
1. Ability to review and evaluate Junction Box design requirements accurately and make recommendations. (Including the choice of electrical component, PCB design, and Packaging design etc…)
2. Make and follow Open issue in project. And organize relevant engineer to close these issues.
3. Interact with necessary personnel (i.e. other engineering functions, manufacturing, vendors) to support product manufacturability.
4. Provide direct technical support to customers, Purchasing, Sales and Marketing, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Production departments.
5. Lead/Assist in quoting for internal and external products.
6. Organize and maintain individual project binders per the elements of the Engineering Process.
7. Work with manufacturing to improve processes and rectify design or documentation related issues.
Ability require:
1. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or electronics/electrical Engineering
2. A good understanding of packaging Junction box modules to meet a variety of operating environments (i.e. dust, rain, humidity, temperature, shock, vibration, corrosion, altitude, etc.).
3. Good oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to read, develop and understand engineering documentation (i.e. Assembly Drawings, Bills of Material, Blueprints, Dimensioning, DVP&R, FMEA, Product Releases, Product Specifications, Test Reports and Test Specifications).
4. Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers (spreadsheets and word processors) including some experience in a CAD program (AutoCAD, Catia, IDEAS, SolidWorks or UniGraphics).
5. With a minimum of 3 years of directly related Junction box design experience.
6. Good experience about Junction box and power distribution used in the vehicle. Directly attend Junction box design before;
7. Good experience about the placement of Fuse and Relay in Junction box;
8. High current PCB and Bus Bar design experience;
9. Ability to work effectively in a constantly changing, fast-paced product development environment.
