General Purpose of the Position
The Project Manager, with assistance from the Product Team, is responsible for forming and leading the Project Team. The Project Manager works with the Product Team, manufacturing sites, and functional groups to ensure that proper resources are available to the project.
Job Responsibilities
· Works with functional groups to identify roles and responsibilities of people involved in the program.
· Prepares for and schedules a program-planning meeting.
· Leads the program-planning meeting.
· Reviews the program plan with the teams on a regular basis.
· Maintains up to date and accurate program status reports and presents program status to the Executive Council as required.
· Updates and re-plans the program as required.
· Assures that required program data and project plans are entered into the appropriate documentation systems.
· Reviews and documents project boundaries, objectives, and deliverables (Program Scope).
· Coordinates projects supporting the program as appropriate.
Position Preference (minimum)
Education:
· Bachelor degree of engineering or business required
Experience/Special Skills:
· 3 years working experience minimum, with program or project management in the automotive industry preferred
· Good personal communication skills, and able to clearly and professionally communicate in written and verbal English
· High level of organizational skills, for reporting and tracking multiple assigned programs and projects
· Able to professionally use word-processing (Microsoft Word) and spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel) for communication
· General understanding of Engineering and Manufacturing processes and documentations, including PDP, P/DFMEA, SPC, etc.
